AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AT THE WEST LAS VEGAS SCHOOL DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the teacher professional development fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to train middle school teachers at the west Las Vegas school district in science, mathematics and technology. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall not revert to the general fund.
