SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number 1 to SENATE BILL 890, as amended

AMENDMENT sponsored by SENATOR ASBILL

     1. Strike items No. 1 and No. 3 of Senate Finance Committee Amendment.

     2. On page 1, line 11, after the semicolon insert "PERMITTING MUNICIPALITIES OR COUNTIES THAT OPERATE MOTOR VEHICLE FIELD OFFICES TO IMPOSE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE CHARGES;".

     3. On page 1, between lines 16 and 17, insert the following new section to read:

          "Section 1. [NEW MATERIAL] MOTOR VEHICLE FIELD OFFICE--ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE CHARGE--MUNICIPAL OR COUNTY AUTHORITY TO IMPOSE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE CHARGE.--A municipality or county that operates a motor vehicle field office may impose by ordinance an administrative service charge in an amount not to exceed five dollars ($5.00) for each identification card or motor vehicle or motorboat registration issued by the motor vehicle field office.".
