    Your FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 890

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 11, after the semicolon insert "PERMITTING MUNICIPALITIES THAT OPERATE MOTOR VEHICLE FIELD OFFICES TO IMPOSE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE CHARGES;".

    2. On page 1, line 14, after the semicolon insert "AMENDING AND ENACTING SECTIONS OF THE NMSA 1978;".

    3. On page 1, between lines 16 and 17, insert the following new section to read:

    "Section 1. [NEW MATERIAL] MOTOR VEHICLE FIELD OFFICE--ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE CHARGE--MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY TO IMPOSE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE CHARGE.--A municipality that operates a motor vehicle field office may impose by ordinance an administrative service charge in an amount not to exceed five dollars ($5.00) for each identification card or motor vehicle or motorboat registration issued by the motor vehicle field office.".

    4. Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.
