AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A COMMUNITY-BASED CANCER PATIENT SUPPORT SERVICES PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to provide for comprehensive community-based cancer patient support services, including education, patient library services, one-to-one matching with cancer veterans, survivorship support groups and an annual statewide survivorship conference. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
