AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO INSTITUTE OF MINING AND TECHNOLOGY FOR COUNTERTERRORISM TRAINING IN PLAYAS IN HIDALGO COUNTY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 and subsequent fiscal years to contract with Hidalgo county for counterterrorism research and training in the town of Playas in Hidalgo county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
