AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO PROVIDE SUICIDE PREVENTION RESOURCES AND SUPPORT COMMUNITY COORDINATION EFFORTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to develop, implement, evaluate and contract with a statewide coalition of suicide prevention programs for a coordinated set of community-based, culturally appropriate suicide prevention programs and services throughout New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
