    Your CORPORATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 144

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 22, after "who" strike the remainder of the line and strike lines 23 and 24 and insert in lieu thereof:

"attended a home school pursuant to the provisions of Section 22-1-2.1 NMSA 1978".

    2. On page 2, lines 20 through 22, strike Subsection D in its entirety and insert a new subsection to read:

         "D. To claim the deduction, the resident shall attach, to the New Mexico income tax return, a copy of the notification sent pursuant to Section 22-1-2.1 NMSA 1978 for the child for the taxable year.".,

and thence referred to the EDUCATION COMMITTEE.
