SENATE BILL 99

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 25, strike the colon.

     2. On page 2, line 1, strike the paragraph designation "(1)" and on line 2, after "person" insert "by any means, including with an electronic communication device,".

     3. On page 2, line 4, after "distress", strike the remainder of the line, strike lines 5 through 8 in their entirety and strike line 9 up to the period.

     4. On page 2, line 15, after the period, strike the remainder of the line, strike lines 16 through 23 in their entirety and strike line 24 up to the period and insert in lieu thereof: "Stalking consists of a person knowingly and willfully engaging in a pattern of conduct that would cause a reasonable person to fear for the person's own safety, including, but not limited to, apprehension of death, sexual assault, bodily injury or unlawful confinement or restraint".

     5. On page 4, line 11, strike the colon and insert in lieu thereof a comma and on line 12, strike the subsection designation "A.".

     6. On page 4, line 15, strike the semicolon and insert in lieu thereof a period and ending quotation marks.

     7. On page 4, strike lines 16 through 23 in their entirety.

     8. On page 5, line 3, strike "may" and insert in lieu thereof "shall".

     9. On page 5, line 4, after "committed", insert "in New Mexico if" and strike "at the place where".

     10. On page 5, line 5, after "or", strike the remainder of the line, strike line 6 up to the period and insert in lieu thereof "received in New Mexico".
