AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF A DUAL FIBER OPTIC NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four million dollars ($4,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal years 2006 and 2007 for the implementation of the dual fiber optic network infrastructure related to the national LambdaRail project. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
