SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 606

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2004

REQUESTED BY Gay G. Kernan

FOR CITY OF PORTALES CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN ROOSEVELT COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the department of transportation

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for street improvements, including curb and gutter, between Abilene and Globe and Fourth and Eighteenth, and on north avenue K from Lime to Spruce in Portales in Roosevelt county;

two hundred thirty thousand dollars ($230,000) for street improvements to avenue O from Lime to Spruce in Portales in Roosevelt county; and

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for construction and chip seal of a road for the Cheese Plant development in Roosevelt county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

three hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($325,000) for building improvements, including roof repair and building renovation, to city buildings in Portales in Roosevelt county;

one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) for planning, design and construction improvements to downtown Main street in Portales in Roosevelt county; and

sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) to improve and equip Buena Vida park in Portales in Roosevelt county.
