HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 178

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2004

REQUESTED BY Patricia A. Lundstrom

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN MCKINLEY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to plan, design and construct an open-space public square as part of the courthouse square renovation and the economic development of downtown Gallup in McKinley county; and

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to plan, design and construct hiking trails at the Mentmore climbing rock park in Gallup in McKinley county; and

• to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to plan, design and construct an intergovernmental administration complex in the Mexican Springs chapter of the Navajo Nation in McKinley county; and

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to plan, design and construct infrastructure for economic development facilities for the Mexican Springs chapter of the Navajo Nation in McKinley county.
