AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE BORDER AUTHORITY TO SUPPORT THE PAISANO PROGRAM FOR MEXICAN NATIONALS LIVING IN THE UNITED STATES TO VISIT THEIR FAMILIES ACROSS THE BORDER DURING CHRISTMAS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the border authority for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to support the border authority's paisano program of assistance to Mexican nationals living in the United States who visit their families across the border during Christmas. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
