AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR THE GENERAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to assist the governor's committee on concerns of the handicapped to carry out the provisions of Paragraph (2) of Subsection A of Section 27-2-7 NMSA 1978. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
