    Your GOVERNMENT AND URBAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 566

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 3, line 21, after “years” insert “through 2014”.

     2. On page 3, line 22, strike “three dollars sixty-five cents ($3.65)” and insert in lieu thereof “five dollars sixty-five cents ($5.65)”.

     3. On page 3, line 24, after "municipality" insert ", provided that the governing body of the municipality approves by resolution the reduction in tax rate provided in this paragraph and the resolution is adopted with at least two-thirds of the members of the governing body voting in favor".

     4. On page 3, strike line 25 and on page 4, strike line 1 in its entirety and strike line 2 through “census” and insert in lieu thereof:

                "(5) for the use of a county in which is located a municipality that approves by resolution the reduction in tax rate pursuant to Paragraph (4) of this subsection".

     5. On page 4, line 4, strike “four dollars ($4.00)” and insert in lieu thereof “two dollars ($2.00)”.,

and thence referred to the TAXATION AND REVENUE COMMITTEE.
