HOUSE BILL 126

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 20, after the period insert "Following a sale or upon registration, when an owner of a motor vehicle makes an application to the taxation and revenue department to register the owner's motor vehicle, the owner shall provide the department with proof that the motor vehicle is equipped with an ignition interlock device.".

     2. On page 1, line 23, after the period insert "Following a sale or upon registration, when an owner of a motor vehicle makes an application to the taxation and revenue department to register the owner's motor vehicle, the owner shall provide the department with proof that the motor vehicle is equipped with an ignition interlock device.".

     3. On page 2, between lines 9 and 10, insert a new subsection:

          “D. Implementation of the requirement to install interlock devices shall be pursuant to regulations promulgated by the traffic safety bureau of the department of transportation.”.
