AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A HISPANIC YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 for the purpose of contracting to provide a Hispanic youth leadership development program for at-risk youth in Dona Ana county to help youth develop skills for college and future careers and knowledge of border policy. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
