Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 3, line 7, after "issued" insert "by a municipality having a population of more than forty thousand according to the most recent decennial census".

2. On page 3, line 7, after "project" insert "that is valued at eight million dollars ($8,000,000) or more".

3. On page 3, line 14, after "enroll" insert "; provided that the fifty percent employer contribution shall not be a requirement for the dependent coverage that is offered".

4. On page 5, line 4, after "issued" insert "by a class A county".

5. On page 5, line 4, after "project" insert "that is valued at eight million dollars ($8,000,000) or more".

6. On page 5, line 11, after "enroll" insert "; provided that the fifty percent employer contribution shall not be a requirement for the dependent coverage that is offered".

7. On page 9, line 19, after the paragraph designation "(9)" insert "if a company hires twenty or more trainees,".

8. On page 9, line 19, after "training" insert "in a municipality having a population of more than forty thousand according to the most recent decennial census or a class A county".

9. On page 10, line 1, after "enroll" insert "; provided that the fifty percent employer contribution shall not be a requirement for the dependent coverage that is offered".

10. On page 10, between lines 1 and 2, insert the following new section to read:

"Section 4. EFFECTIVE DATE.--The effective date of the provisions of this act is January 1, 2004.".
