Mr. Speaker:

Your TAXATION AND REVENUE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 168

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 21, strike "seventeen" and insert in lieu thereof "twenty-three".

2. On page 1, line 23, strike "three" and insert in lieu thereof "five".

3. On page 1, line 25, strike "three" and insert in lieu thereof "five".

4. On page 2, line 6, strike "and" and between lines 6 and 7 insert the following new paragraph to read:

"(2) two public members shall be appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives and the president pro tempore of the senate; and".

5. On page 2, line 7, strike the paragraph designation "(2)" and insert in lieu thereof "(3)" and after "eleven" insert "public".

6. On page 3, line 3, before "member" insert "public".

7. On page 3, line 13, after "laws" insert "to establish a balanced tax system that provides maximum economic development benefits and maintains necessary government services at an appropriate level".

8. On page 3, line 17, after the period insert:

"The commission shall examine the personal income tax reductions approved during the first session of the forty-sixth legislature and determine if any changes are necessary and the structure of any such changes.".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
