SUMMARY

House Bill 145 appropriates $12.0 from the general fund to the Local Government Division of the Department of Finance and Administration for the purpose of completing a study that provides historical information and to determine the current status of the community ditches in the community of Placitas in Sandoval County.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS

The appropriation of $12.0 contained in this bill is a non-recurring expense to the general fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.

There are several publications chronicling the history of acequias in New Mexico.
