SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST

FOR CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENTS IN VALENCIA COUNTY.
I request that the following capital
outlay projects be funded:
• to the department of environment
one million dollars ($1,000,000) for the
acquisition of a landfill in Valencia county; and
one million dollars ($1,000,000) for the
closure of the landfill in Valencia county;
• to
the state highway and transportation department
two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000)
for road improvements and paving in Valencia county; and
one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000)
for drainage improvements on roads in Valencia county; and
• to
the local government division of the department of finance and administration
seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000)
to purchase and equip vehicles for the sheriff's department in Valencia county;
fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to
purchase and equip a crime scene unit for the sheriff's department in Valencia
county;
sixty-nine thousand six hundred
seventy-five dollars ($69,675) to equip and furnish the sheriff's substation in
Valencia county;
fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to
conduct a feasibility study to create a central dispatch facility in Valencia
county;
two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000)
to remodel, improve and construct a control center at the juvenile detention
facility in Valencia county;
seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000)
for improvements and repairs to parking lots at Las Maravillas, Rio Grande estates
and Tome-Adelino fire departments in Valencia county;
forty-five thousand dollars ($45,000) to
equip the El Cerro Mission fire department in Valencia county;
sixty-two thousand five hundred dollars
($62,500) to make improvements and restore the roof at the Jarales community
center and substation in Valencia county;
fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to plan,
design and construct a community center and fire station in Highland Meadows in
Valencia county;
fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to plan,
design and construct a community center in Tome-Adelino in Valencia county;
fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for
county health department facilities in Valencia county;
five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000)
for a facility for the new district judge in Valencia county;
five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000)
to repair and remodel the judicial complex in Valencia county; and
one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000)
to purchase and install computers and related equipment in offices in Valencia
county.
