STATE OF NEW MEXICO

45TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2002

REQUESTED BY Stuart Ingle

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AT EASTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY IN ROOSEVELT AND CHAVES COUNTIES.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the board of regents of eastern New Mexico university

two hundred thirty thousand dollars ($230,000) to replace the bleachers at Greyhound stadium at eastern New Mexico university in Portales in Roosevelt county;

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to resurface the Greyhound track at eastern New Mexico university in Portales in Roosevelt county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to purchase and install lighting at Zia softball field at eastern New Mexico university in Portales in Roosevelt county;

six million two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($6,250,000) to develop the site for, engineer, construct and equip a communications center at eastern New Mexico university in Portales in Roosevelt county;

one million two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($1,250,000) for infrastructure renovation, expansion and deferred maintenance at the campuses of eastern New Mexico university in Roosevelt and Chaves counties;

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to make improvements and equip, including the installation of instruction technology, the science laboratories and classrooms at eastern New Mexico university in Portales in Roosevelt county; and

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for instructional television improvements, including constructing a tower, installing microwave equipment and developing a specialized classroom to enable broadcasting throughout the eastern New Mexico university system in Roosevelt and Chaves counties.
