SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 33

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

45TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2002

REQUESTED BY Carroll H. Leavell

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL SCHOOL DISTRICT IN EDDY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state department of public education

one hundred forty thousand dollars ($140,000) to renovate the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system at Monterrey elementary school in the Carlsbad municipal school district in Eddy county;

two hundred twenty thousand dollars ($220,000) to renovate the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system at Pate elementary school in the Carlsbad municipal school district in Eddy county;

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to renovate the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system at P.R. Leyva middle school in the Carlsbad municipal school district in Eddy county;

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) to make safety improvements to elementary school playgrounds in the Carlsbad municipal school district in Eddy county;

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to equip the culinary arts program at Carlsbad high school in the Carlsbad municipal school district in Eddy county; and

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to replace the furniture in the library at Carlsbad high school in the Carlsbad municipal school district in Eddy county.
