HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 974

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

45TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2002

REQUESTED BY Rhonda S. King

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN TORRANCE COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state agency on aging

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to renovate the senior center in Mountainair in Torrance county;

• to the department of environment

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to purchase and install water meters and assemblies and make other related improvements to the Tajique water system in Torrance county;

• to the department of health

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to design, construct, equip and furnish the medical facility in Estancia in Torrance county;

• to the state highway and transportation department

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) for road repairs and equipment in Torrance county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to purchase and install equipment for volunteer fire departments in Torrance county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to purchase and equip vehicles for the sheriff's department in Torrance county; and

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to purchase a one-hundred-foot radio tower for 911 dispatch in Torrance county.
