HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 364

45TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2002

REQUESTED BY Donald L. Whitaker

FOR PUBLIC WORKS AND SENIOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN JAL IN LEA COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state agency on aging

forty-five thousand dollars ($45,000) to purchase a handicapped-accessible van for seniors in Jal in Lea county;

• to the department of environment

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to replace the main water transmission line in Jal in Lea county; and

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to drill a new water well in Jal in Lea county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) for the removal of dangerous buildings and debris in Jal in Lea county; and

fifty-five thousand dollars ($55,000) to purchase a four-wheel drive "extendahoe" vehicle for use in Jal in Lea county.
