SPECIAL SCHOOLS STATEWIDE.
I request that the following capital
outlay projects be funded:
• to the commission on higher education
three million four hundred thousand
dollars ($3,400,000) for infrastructure renovation and expansion at New Mexico
institute of mining and technology in Socorro in Socorro county;
twelve million dollars ($12,000,000) for
infrastructure renewal and expansion at New Mexico state university in Las
Cruces in Dona Ana county;
four million eight hundred twenty-one
thousand dollars ($4,821,000) for infrastructure renovation and expansion at
New Mexico highlands university in Las Vegas in San Miguel county;
two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000)
for infrastructure improvements at the Valencia campus of the university of New
Mexico in Valencia county;
four million five hundred thousand
dollars ($4,500,000) for infrastructure renovation and expansion at western New
Mexico university in Silver City in Grant county;
two million two hundred thousand dollars
($2,200,000) for infrastructure upgrades and site improvements at San Juan college
in Farmington in San Juan county;
one million seven hundred eighty-nine
thousand dollars ($1,789,000) for infrastructure improvements for the
underground electrical distribution and energy management system at Luna
vocational-technical institute in Las Vegas in San Miguel county;
seven hundred eighty-five thousand
dollars ($785,000) for infrastructure renovation and site improvements at
northern New Mexico state school in Espanola in Rio Arriba county;
one hundred ninety thousand dollars
($190,000) to renovate a 1936 adobe building on the El Rito campus of northern
New Mexico state school in Rio Arriba county;
nine
hundred fifty-three thousand five hundred thirty-seven dollars ($953,537) to
replace the roof and make infrastructure improvements at Santa Fe community
college in Santa Fe county;
five million dollars ($5,000,000) for
health, safety and accessibility improvements at New Mexico school for the deaf
in Santa Fe in Santa Fe county;
three million seven hundred eighty-six
thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($3,786,250) for deferred maintenance and
electrical distribution and upgrades at Albuquerque technical-vocational
institute in Bernalillo county;
three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000)
for infrastructure renovation and expansion at Clovis community college in
Curry county;
two million five hundred thousand dollars
($2,500,000) to make improvements to increase handicapped accessibility and
meet safety requirements as well as the requirements of the Americans with
Disabilities Act of 1990 at higher education facilities and constitutional
special schools statewide;
one million two hundred fifty thousand
dollars ($1,250,000) for deferred maintenance and infrastructure modernization
at eastern New Mexico university in Portales in Roosevelt county;
seven hundred forty-three thousand four
hundred nineteen dollars ($743,419) for infrastructure renovation and
improvements at the Roswell campus of eastern New Mexico university in Chaves
county;
one hundred thirty-five thousand dollars
($135,000) to replace the roof at the Ruidoso center of eastern New Mexico
university in Lincoln county;
nine hundred eighty-nine thousand three
hundred eighty-five dollars ($989,385) for infrastructure improvements at New Mexico
junior college in Hobbs in Lea county;
one million five
hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) for infrastructure improvements at the
Gallup branch of the university of New Mexico in McKinley county;
three
million dollars ($3,000,000) to renovate Lea hall at New Mexico military
institute in Roswell in Chaves county;
seven million dollars ($7,000,000) for
core building renewal and renovation of existing facilities at the university
of New Mexico in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;
seven hundred thousand dollars ($700,000)
for infrastructure renovation and expansion at the Dona Ana branch of New
Mexico state university in Dona Ana county;
seven hundred twenty-seven thousand
dollars ($727,000) for infrastructure renovation and expansion at the Alamogordo
branch of New Mexico state university in Otero county;
one million two hundred thousand dollars
($1,200,000) for infrastructure renovation and expansion at the Carlsbad branch
of New Mexico state university in Eddy county;
five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000)
for infrastructure renovation and expansion at the Grants campus of New Mexico
state university in Cibola county; and
one
million six hundred thousand dollars ($1,600,000) for health, safety and accessibility
improvements at the New Mexico school for the visually handicapped in
Alamogordo in Otero county.
