AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE TRAFFIC SAFETY BUREAU OF THE STATE HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT TO FUND THE COLLECTION OF DATA REGARDING HIGH SPEED PURSUITS BY LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Forty-five thousand dollars ($45,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the traffic safety bureau of the state highway and transportation department for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to fund the collection of data regarding high speed pursuits by law enforcement agencies. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
