MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SUPPORT THE FORESTRY PROGRAM OF THE NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AT NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Forty-seven thousand dollars ($47,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to support the forestry program of the natural resources management department, including equipment purchase and installation and student recruitment efforts. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
