AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO CONTRACT FOR THE PROVISION OF EMERGENCY STABILIZATION AND SHORT-TERM DETOXIFICATION SERVICES FOR SUBSTANCE ABUSERS AT A DETOXIFICATION FACILITY LOCATED IN SANTA FE COUNTY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to contract for the provision of emergency stabilization and short-term detoxification services for substance abusers at a detoxification facility located in Santa Fe county. The services will be made available to individuals experiencing substance abuse crises who reside in Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, Sandoval, San Miguel, Mora, Los Alamos, Taos, Colfax, Union and Harding counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
