AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT AND PREVENTION IN NORTHERN NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2003

for the purpose of providing education, prevention, treatment, follow-up and counseling for alcohol and substance abuse programs, including family services, in San Miguel, Santa Fe and Torrance counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
