AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SUPPORT BORDER DEVELOPMENT TRADE OFFICES TO FURTHER NEW MEXICO TRADE WITH MEXICO.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

A. One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 in the following amounts for the following purposes:

(1) seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) for support of a border development trade office in the city of Chihuahua in Chihuahua, Mexico; and

(2) seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) for support of a border development trade office in the Federal District municipality in Mexico.

B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
