MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF GAME AND FISH TO ACQUIRE WATER RIGHTS IN THE MIMBRES VALLEY IN GRANT COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of game and fish for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to acquire water rights for habitat improvements in the Mimbres valley in Grant county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
