AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO COMPLETE A STUDY TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CURRENT STATUS AND HISTORY OF PLACITAS ACEQUIAS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twelve thousand dollars ($12,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 for the purpose of completing a study to provide historical information and determine the current status of the community ditches in Placitas to increase the awareness of the public of the historical, cultural and social importance of acequia agriculture in Placitas in Sandoval county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
