RELATING TO THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE; PROVIDING FUNDS TO ENHANCE GOVERNMENT-TO-GOVERNMENT COLLABORATION BETWEEN AGENCIES OF INDIAN NATIONS, TRIBES AND PUEBLOS AND STATE AGENCIES; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to enhance government-to-government collaboration between agencies of Indian nations, tribes and pueblos and various state agencies. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
