45th legislature - STATE OF NEW MEXICO - first special session, 2001

RELATING TO THE REDISTRICTING OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES; ESTABLISHING REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICTS ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE, SIX, NINE, SIXTY-FIVE AND SIXTY-NINE; REPEALING AND ENACTING SECTIONS OF THE NMSA 1978.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. Section 2-7C-8 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1991 (1st S.S.), Chapter 2, Section 8) is repealed and a new Section 2-7C-8 NMSA 1978 is enacted to read:

"2-7C-8. [NEW MATERIAL] REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT ONE.--Representative district one is composed of San Juan county precincts 20 through 30, 51 through 55, 57 and 58."

Section 2. Section 2-7C-9 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1991 (lst S.S.), Chapter 2, Section 9) is repealed and a new Section 2-7C-9 NMSA 1978 is enacted to read:

"2-7C-9. [NEW MATERIAL] REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT TWO.--Representative district two is composed of San Juan county precincts 40 through 47, 49, 56, 59, 70 and 79."

Section 3. Section 2-7C-10 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1991 (lst S.S.), Chapter 2, Section 10) is repealed and a new Section 2-7C-10 NMSA 1978 is enacted to read:

"2-7C-10. [NEW MATERIAL] REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT THREE.--Representative district three is composed of San Juan county precincts 60 through 69 and 71 through 76."

Section 4. Section 2-7C-11 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1991 (lst S.S.), Chapter 2, Section 11) is repealed and a new Section 2-7C-11 NMSA 1978 is enacted to read:

"2-7C-11. [NEW MATERIAL] REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT FOUR.--Representative district four is composed of San Juan county precincts 2 through 4, 8 through 14, 18, 19, 31 and 81."

Section 5. Section 2-7C-12 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1991 (lst S.S.), Chapter 2, Section 12) is repealed and a new Section 2-7C-12 NMSA 1978 is enacted to read:

"2-7C-12. [NEW MATERIAL] REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT FIVE.--Representative district five is composed of McKinley county precincts 1, 3, 19 through 23, 31 through 41 and 50."

Section 6. Section 2-7C-13 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1991 (lst S.S.), Chapter 2, Section 13) is repealed and a new Section 2-7C-13 NMSA 1978 is enacted to read:

"2-7C-13. [NEW MATERIAL] REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT SIX.--Representative district six is composed of McKinley county precincts 24 through 30 and 42 through 49."

Section 7. Section 2-7C-16 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1991 (lst S.S.), Chapter 2, Section 16) is repealed and a new Section 2-7C-16 NMSA 1978 is enacted to read:

"2-7C-16. [NEW MATERIAL] REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT NINE.--Representative district nine is composed of McKinley county precincts 4 through 8; Rio Arriba county precincts 19, 24, 25 and 29; and San Juan county precincts 1, 5 through 7, 15, 16 and 82 through 86."

Section 8. Section 2-7C-72 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1991 (lst S.S.), Chapter 2, Section 72) is repealed and a new Section 2-7C-72 NMSA 1978 is enacted to read:

"2-7C-72. [NEW MATERIAL] REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT SIXTY-FIVE.--Representative district sixty-five is composed of Bernalillo county precincts 31 and 93; Cibola county precincts 1 through 3, 5 through 8, 12, 13, 15 and 17; Sandoval county precincts 25 and 27; Socorro precinct 15; and Valencia county precinct 13."

Section 9. Section 2-7C-76 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1991 (lst S.S.), Chapter 2, Section 76) is repealed and a new Section 2-7C-76 NMSA 1978 is enacted to read:

"2-7C-76. [NEW MATERIAL] REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT SIXTY-NINE.--Representative district sixty-nine is composed of Cibola county precincts 4, 9 through 11, 14 and 16; McKinley county precincts 9 through 18; and Sandoval county precincts 24 and 26."
