Synopsis of HCPAC Amendment
The House Consumer and Public Affairs Committee amendment to House Bill 135 is a technical amendment changing a typographical error from ($300,00) to ($300,000).
Synopsis of Original Bill
House Bill 135 appropriates $300,000 from the general fund to the Department of Health for the purpose of contracting statewide for HIV/AIDS education and prevention services.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $300.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY02 shall revert to the general fund.
RELATIONSHIP
House Bill 2, the General Appropriation Act, currently contains $750.0 in tobacco settlement program funds for HIV/AIDS services and medicines.
