SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 126

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

45TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2001

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE CITY OF CARLSBAD IN EDDY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the department of environment

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to design, construct and implement phase 3 of the wastewater effluent reuse project in Carlsbad in Eddy county; and

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for interior and exterior improvements and repairs to the Walter Gerrells civic center in Carlsbad in Eddy county;

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to renovate and purchase playground equipment at city parks in Carlsbad in Eddy county;

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to renovate the exterior of the Pecos River Village conference center in Carlsbad in Eddy county; and

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for asbestos remediation, including planning, designing and removal costs, at the Carlsbad regional medical center in Eddy county.
