Mr. Speaker:

Your APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 542

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 14, after "BONDS" strike the remainder of the line and strike line 15 and insert in lieu thereof a period.

2. On page 2, line 8, after "B." insert "after completion of a new Bernalillo county metropolitan court facility,".

3. On page 3, line 13, strike "leasing the facility to" and insert in lieu thereof "housing".

4. On page 5, line 2, after the bracket insert "Until all bonds authorized by this section and Laws 2000, Chapter 5, Section 2 are issued, any money remaining in the special bond fund or account, after all principal, interest and other expenses or obligations related to the bonds in that fiscal year are fully met, shall be transferred to the magistrate and metropolitan court capital fund.".

5. On page 5, line 10, strike "Any" and insert in lieu thereof "After all bonds authorized by this section and Laws 2000, Chapter 5, Section 2 are issued, any".

6. On page 5, line 13, after "redemption" insert a comma and "defeasance or retirement".

7. On page 8, line 14, strike "Any" and insert in lieu thereof "After all bonds authorized by this section and by Section 34-9-16 NMSA 1978 are issued, any".

8. On page 8, line 18, after "redemption" insert a comma and "defeasance or retirement".

9. On page 9, line 23, through page 10, line 7, strike Section 4.
