AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR FUNDING TO CONTRACT FOR SERVICES FOR THE PREVENTION OF YOUTH ALCOHOL, TOBACCO AND OTHER DRUG ABUSE, IN PARTICULAR THE INCREASING USE OF BLACK TAR HEROIN AND ECSTASY IN RIO ARRIBA AND SANTA FE COUNTIES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Nine hundred eighty-six thousand dollars ($986,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 for contract services for the prevention of youth alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse, in particular the increasing use of black tar heroin and ecstasy in Rio Arriba and Santa Fe counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
