MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE AGENCY ON AGING TO HELP DEFRAY HEATING AND FUEL COSTS OF SENIOR CITIZENS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION--HEATING AND FUEL COSTS.--One million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state agency on aging for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to distribute equally to the six area agencies on aging to help defray the heating and fuel costs of senior citizens. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
