Mr. President:

Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 3, line 12, strike "A" and insert in lieu thereof "Unless there is reasonable cause to believe that the death is not due to natural causes, a".

2. On page 3, line 13, strike "or hospital".

3. On page 3, line 14, after "home" strike the remainder of the line, strike all of line 15 and strike line 16 through the period and insert in lieu thereof "and a registered nurse employed by a hospital may pronounce the death of a patient of the hospital.".

4. On page 3, line 21, after "hospital" insert "for patients".

5. On page 3, line 22, after "home" insert "for residents".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
