AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTINUE THE RIO GRANDE EDUCATIONAL COLLABORATIVE TO SUPPORT SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to continue the Rio Grande educational collaborative program to support Rio Grande high school cluster children with mentorship and student leadership in collaboration with the university of New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
