AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A TAOS PUEBLO LANGUAGE IMMERSION PROGRAM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-seven thousand dollars ($27,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to fund additional teachers and provide computer support and teaching materials and supplies for the Taos Pueblo language immersion program, through which pueblo children are taught the Tiwa language. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
