Traffic signals on state highways are governed by the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. A signalization project must clearly meet the criteria of one or more signal warrants as defined in the manual. All traffic signals on state highways must be designed, constructed and maintained in accordance with criteria in this manual.
