SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 54 would appropriate $75.0 general fund in FY2001 to the Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) to provide equipment, teaching materials and supplies, instructional assistance and travel for the Hispanic folklore dance workshops at the annual international mariachi conference in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Unexpended balances remaining at the end of FY2001 would revert to the general fund.
Significant Issues
The bill would help support Hispanic folklore dance workshops at the annual international ethnomusicology conference in Las Cruces. These workshops would help preserve and share Hispanic cultural traditions.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The OCA anticipates no additional costs to administer these funds.
