SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
The bill appropriates $100.0 to provide for the operation of an ambulance service for the Village of Pecos in San Miguel county.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The bill appropriates $100.0 in general fund in FY01 to the Department of Health (DOH).
DOH indicates the Village of Pecos previously provided emergency medical services through a private contractor. However, Pecos recently contracted with the local Village health clinic to provide more adequate emergency medical services and ambulance operations in a cost-effective manner. The appropriation in HB201 is intended for operating costs until a revenue-generating service billing system is implemented.
