Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 122 appropriates $87.0 from the general fund to the department of finance and administration for FY01. The bill proposes to fund a statewide citizen review board program to meet the expanding caseload demands of reviewing cases of child abuse and neglect.
Significant Issues
The current version of HB-2 includes $418.6 in general fund for the citizen review board, of which $310.0 is general fund and $108.6 is from the Children, Youth and Families department, an $80.0 increase over the current fiscal year. The additional funding proposed in this legislation would enhance the current program level .
