STATE OF NEW MEXICO

44TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2000

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE WEST LAS VEGAS PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT IN

SAN MIGUEL COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state department of public education

five hundred forty-three thousand dollars ($543,000) for acquisition and installation of an exterior elevator to the administration building in the West Las Vegas public school district in San Miguel county;

one million sixty-four thousand eight hundred dollars ($1,064,800) to plan, design and construct a gymnasium complex for Valley elementary and middle schools in the West Las Vegas public school district in San Miguel county;

six hundred seventy-seven thousand two hundred dollars ($677,200) for re-roofing and renovations to the old middle school, including compliance with uniform building codes and to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, in the West Las Vegas public school district in San Miguel county;

two million five hundred twenty-seven thousand dollars ($2,527,000) to plan, design and construct a classroom addition at the Don Cecilio Martinez elementary school in the West Las Vegas public school district in San Miguel county; and

one hundred seventy-four thousand eight hundred fifty dollars ($174,850) to purchase three school buses for the headstart program in the West Las Vegas public school district in San Miguel county.
