AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE PENASCO SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to support water conservation and prevention of soil erosion in the Penasco soil and water conservation district in Chaves and Eddy counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
