AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT TO CONDUCT A COMPREHENSIVE DEMOGRAPHIC AND STATISTICAL STUDY OF THE SOUTHWEST QUADRANT OF BERNALILLO COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF ASSESSING THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL VIABILITY OF THE SOUTHWEST QUADRANT SUPPORTING COMMERCIAL INDUSTRIES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to fund a comprehensive demographic and statistical study of the southwest quadrant of Bernalillo county for the purpose of assessing the economic and social viability of the southwest quadrant supporting commercial industries. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
