AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EXPAND AND ENHANCE PROGRAMS AT THE CLOVIS AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE CENTER.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

A. Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to expand and enhance programs at the Clovis agricultural science center. The appropriation shall be distributed in the following amounts to the following entities:

(1) two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to the cooperative extension service; and

(2) two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to the agricultural experiment station.

B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
